Ambiguous or erroneous historical identifications[edit]

The History section identifies Halfeti with Urima, Kal'a Rhomeyta, Romaion Koyla, and Kal'at-ül Rum. According to the Pleiades project, Urima (http://pleiades.stoa.org/places/658562) is located at 37.110367, 37.86555, just over 15 km due south of the coordinates in the present article (37° 14′ 56″ N, 37° 51′ 57″ E). On the other hand, the Wikipedia article for Kal'a Rhomeyta, Romaion Koyla, and Kal'at-ül Rum distinguishes it from the town Halfeti, and the coordinates given in Rumkale indicate that it is on the western bank of the Euphrates, while Halfeti is on the eastern bank. Would it be better to delete the erroneous identifications, or to identify the district (rather than the town) of Halfeti by these names (if citations can be provided)? The source of the information seems to be the Turkish Wikipedia, where it is ambiguous if the historical names refer to the town or to the district. Black roses[edit]

"the area's famous black roses."
But not famous enough to have any more info than that ?
A quick search hints that it is at best dubious or embellished, at worse a scam. --Musaran (talk) 23:47, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
