From the archives[edit]

The reintroduction of the removed text seems to have been done very well. Thanks so much for this work, CJCurrie. I removed a small section that didn't seem to relate well to the title, but left all the rest as is. We'll see what the reaction to this change is, and if we get any more mail. Founding of the Unparty and its major platform plank[edit]

I have edited the sentence regarding the founders and the founding reasons for the Unparty. I have also added a statement about the major platform of the Unparty at that time. Since I was heavily involved in both the OLP and the LPC during 1977-1980, and actually the immediate reason for its founding, I am as authoritative a source for this information as is likely to be found at this time (Mary Lou Gutscher can also be asked for her opinion about my edit). There simply are no available citations for this sort of thing, since there was no Internet in those days and most discussion was either by word of mouth, personally or by phone and many personal records have been lost.
