Should there be some acknowledgement of Foxrock's status in Irish popular culture as the archetypal upper class Southside suburb? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.203.139.68 (talk) 01:29, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree I think, it easily deserves a single sentence in the intro. I've often heard that Foxrock for decades was the only village in Ireland without a pub, as claimed here: "The village of Foxrock is famous for being the only village in the Republic of Ireland without a pub." Is it worth a mention? Yablochko (talk) 17:52, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Brighton, Torquay and Westminster Roads?[edit]

Does anybody know what year these roads were given these very English names, by whom, and what they were named beforehand? I suspect "Brighton Road" had some connection with "Tullow" or "Tully" as the Church of Ireland on Brighton Road is still known as Tullow, and the older 12th-century church in Lehaunstown is known as Tully (Tulach = hillock). 188.141.10.11 (talk) 17:01, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
