- I agree I think, it easily deserves a single sentence in the intro. I've often heard that Foxrock for decades was the only village in Ireland without a pub, as claimed here: "The village of Foxrock is famous for being the only village in the Republic of Ireland without a pub." Brighton, Torquay and Westminster Roads?[edit]
Does anybody know what year these roads were given these very English names, by whom, and what they were named beforehand? I suspect "Brighton Road" had some connection with "Tullow" or "Tully" as the Church of Ireland on Brighton Road is still known as Tullow, and the older 12th-century church in Lehaunstown is known as Tully (Tulach = hillock). 188.141.10.11 (talk) 17:01, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
