Requested move 28 May 2022[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Under WP:NAMECHANGES practice, we're going to have to wait for independent, secondary, and reliable sources to be provided that made the name switch as well, which might take a while. Since the name change is so recent, we should call off the requested move for now to see if appropriate sources do adopt the new name before we come back to this issue. Foundation Beyond BeliefGO Humanity – Organization's name changed in May 2022. (See www.gohumanity.world) Emzakluk (talk) 23:43, 28 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. >>> Extorc.talk 06:09, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Is the "GO" an abbreviation for something, or are they just using WP:ALLCAPS for shouting? What do independent reliable sources do? — BarrelProof (talk) 19:56, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"GO" is an acronym for "Giving and Organizing." It's intended to capitalized in all uses. 45.48.8.81 (talk) 18:52, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The above is correct. “GO” is an acronym for “Giving and Organizing.” Please close discussion. Foundbb (talk) 21:25, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, it seems like Emzakluk has just gone ahead and moved the page to GO Humanity. I don't have the technical ability to move it back, since there's now a redirect. /wiae /tlk 21:54, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed by Paine Ellsworth. /wiae /tlk 22:32, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The only source given, www.gohumanity.world, is a primary source. The official name can be used only if it has become the COMMONNAME in independent, secondary, reliable sources since the name change that use the new name. Otherwise, the old name, Foundation Beyond Belief, is still the common name and must continue to be the title of this article. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 23:11, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
