The "Doge of Venice" box at the bottom says "1032-1041", but the text says "His reign lasted from the abdication of Pietro Barbolano in 1032 until his death." and "He died in 1043, marking the end of more than a decade of rule.", which would mean 1032-1043. The Domenico_I_Contarini page says "His reign lasted from his election following the death of Domenico Flabanico in 1043", which supports the 1043 date, but is not definitive. So what is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.158.124.247 (talk) 00:19, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It seems it was changed with this: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Domenico_Flabanico&diff=441806483&oldid=382054701. The user cited the Italian interwiki which ultimately leads to this source: http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/domenico-flabiano_(Dizionario_Biografico)/. It says "Il F. morì, in età avanzata, nella prima metà del 1041" or "Flabanico died at an advanced age in the first half of 1041". Now this is just an encyclopedia article itself, but it cites a lot of Italian literature on the subject, and I'd be inclined to believe that over the original citation I provided ~8 years ago from a fairly paltry collection at my American university. But neither side is really clearly the right answer, so I'm not sure. JHMM13 (talk) 08:19, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
