It's certainly possible[edit]

that the mosque was built in 1275 by someone other than Puhaddin or that the Song allowed its construction despite the general alliance of the Muslims to the Mongols or that the Mongols erected it outside the city during a protracted siege but whatever was going on—most likely just someone screwing up some conversions from regnal years using the Chinese lunisolar calendar to Gregorian dating and then being carelessly repeated by others—should be clarified and cited to something more trustworthy than unsourced and chabuduo government employee overviews.

For what it's worth, Olivova seems to say that Puhaddin was active in Yangzhou under the late Song rather than riding into the city with the Mongols. The plaque on the mosque itself is unclear but seems to fit that as well. — LlywelynII 21:54, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
