Cmt[edit]

Just about to introduce a group of undergrads in a Seattle U criminal justice course to how to edit wikipedia, and will be using this page as an example this afternoon. Would love to connect with primary author/editors about the student projects we're doing this quarter. Thanks. Melissaganus (talk) 17:31, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Corpus delicti on Drunk Driving[edit]

Where is the offended party? editing this one out because no-ones been injured by a drunk driver. It becomes a crime when he hits someone. Just because it is not moral means it's not unlawful. 82.28.224.49 (talk) 14:41, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Drunken Driving is a crime against the Public as a whole. It is the commission of an act which is inherently dangerous to others, the victim then is usually the state, as a representative of the community as a whole. Consider offense as reckless discharge of a firearm inside city limits, making and using explosive devices and other similar offenses.

It is also a violation of the agreement made when accepting an operator’s license that you will not operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance. 108.241.120.20 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:04, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
