"Squatting in the United States" Sidebar?![edit]

Why? Land trusts are not squatting any more than any other legal ownership of land is squatting. Why on earth is that sidebar on this page? It makes it seem like land trust are somehow less legal, less formal, etc. than other land ownership, which is obviously wrong. Not to mention that modern land trusts almost universally have no link to prior squatting whatsoever. --Thfump (talk) 19:24, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Early American Community Land Trusts[edit]

This article says nothing about the 17 community land trusts set up in the US between 1894 and 1950. A casual reader might well get the idea that there were no land trusts there before 1967. -- Derek Ross | Talk 05:36, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Community Land TrustCommunity land trust

The article starts with "A", not "The". Per WP:CAPS and WP:TITLE, this is a generic, common term, not a propriety or commercial term, so the article title should be downcased. In addition, WP:MOS says that a compound item should not be upper-cased just because it is abbreviated with caps. Matches the formatting of related article titles. • Support The first line in the article says it all. This is a definition of a type of legal entity, and not specific. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 01:39, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Squatting Template.[edit]

The Squatting template was removed as community land trusts (CLTs) are not related to squatting in any way.

Tangentially , the CLT link remains on the Squatting template itself. It was listed under Framework, however that is incorrect as it seemed to say it was a squatting framework. "Solution" was added because CLTS do represent a valid and viable "Solution Framework" to Squatting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atonb117 (talkcontribs) 17:44, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

References and US Centricity[edit]

Could we perhaps focus on adding lots of references. (one per paragraph + extra one for each surprising fact rule ) Rightfully this is Community land trust in the US but readers trying to follow todays major Wainwright article in the Guardian are going to be a little disappointed. Kiwis have already tried to add a external link within the article breaking MOS.--ClemRutter (talk) 09:23, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can I comment on the legalese in the text- fine by me but Google tells me that the sentence The CLT remains a party to the deal, safeguarding the structural integrity of the buildings and the residential security of the occupants. does appear elsewhere- is it CC-BY compatible? --ClemRutter (talk) 10:02, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
