Past and Present Shows

This should be divided into past and present shows. Can you do that please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.96.185.29 (talk) 08:49, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Distinction

Hi, would it be a good idea to sepearate the page and distinguish it between the strand shown on BBC in the UK, the UK channel and the international channel. Would it be better if they were all seperate articles to avoid confusion. After all this is what CBBC does with it's article and the article CBBC (TV channel)? Rafmarham (talk) 18:33, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Songs

At present, I am unsure about the songs on this page. Including a list of the songs is probably OK as they are part of the channels presentation - they are an integral part of the channels structure not found elsewhere in television. However, including a sequential running order of the characters involved may be too much. Bear in mind this is an encyclopedia. Opinions please? Rafmarham (talk) 22:19, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Presentation

I have changed the Past presenters section back into a sub section of presentation. I have done this as the subsequent sections were under the Presentation band and not the past presenters band and so it was appropriate. As a point of formatting, colons shouldn't be used in the section title. Rafmarham (talk) 21:14, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Unsourced edits & other junk

There are a huge number of little edits going on, mostly IP-only, and it's hard to tell which are vandals and which are correcting vandalism because none of them include citations to support their changes. Like is the age range for Cbeebies 4-6 or 0-6? Can the people who are doing genuine edits please back them up with external references!

Unfortunately the BBC's own abysmal website doesn't help, it is very hard to find any hard facts on it about their productions, e.g. I've been unable to find any statement on their website about their target audience beyond the fact that they claim to reach most of it!

Another thing, the infobox is growing and growing. On every other TV channel article their is only one launch date, as surely channels only come into existence once. But on the Cbeebies infobox we have 12 launch dates, one fore each broadcast country! I don't think that's how it is meant to be used and am inclined to delete all but the original launch date unless someone can justify listing multiple dates instead of doing it the same way all the other TV channel articles do it. Samatarou (talk) 15:36, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

...Too late I did it anyway, and I finally found the Cbeebies licence which defines the audience as "age 6 or under" (no lower limit given, so I guess 0-6 was right). I think the 4-6 thing comes from the fact that BARB don't interview the under 4's so they only publish figures on viewers age 4-6. The 0-3 audience has to be inferred from the fact that their parents watch Cbeebies Samatarou (talk) 23:34, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

the time has come to say good night?

hold it on YouTube I saw an older version of the time has come to say good night sung by cris and poi the 2002-2009 presenters with older seans like dipsy off the telletubies (1997-2001) struggling to get to bed so add the cris and poi edition of the time has come to say good night as the even older good night song (c)2001-2013 bbc inc this version of the song is from 2007 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.143.120 (talk) 15:35, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Segments

The international CBeebies airs 24 hours? Do they use the segments? They must use Get Set Go and the Bedtime Hour or something, right? We could include those in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.248.49 (talk) 11:01, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

India

I've removed content about India's launch/close from the infobox here as it doesn't seem relevant. The channel is UK-based and the focus should be in the UK. We don't, for instance, list all the different Cartoon Network division launches in the infobox at Cartoon Network. Content about India's launch can be found elsewhere in the article. Lead too short

Personally, I don't think it is, so I've removed the note at the top of the article. YMMV, of course, so feel free to revert me and explain why I'm wrong here. This is not a value judgement on the quality of the lede, just a gut feeling that its length is fine. — THIS IS TREY MATURIN 17:40, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

  • I agree, here is how the lead looked when the tag was added in October. Sahaib (talk) 18:31, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

List of presenters

This is mainly aimed at the IP who is continually inserting an unsourced list of living people into this article.

Please stop.

Wikipedia's rules say that all information must be verifiable, and we do that by providing a reliable source for our edits. These rules are particularly strong for anything to do with living people.

I have been unable to verify your list of presenters. If you could supply the source where you got the list from, we could add that as a reference and the list can go in. If there's no source, or you are unable to provide it, we simply can't have this list in the article. Work with me on this, please? — Trey Maturin has spoken 12:39, 3 December 2022 (UTC)

Ian's ## Birthday

Hello Ian, and happy birthday! You've written to a page of a website about CBeebies, rather than to CBeebies themselves. You can find out how to contact the CBeebies House at the BBC's own website here. Sorry we can't help at this website.
It would probably be best if you didn't post your name and age on websites you find. Whilst most people on the internet are nice, there are some who are not. Childline has some good ideas for staying safe on the internet. If you're ever not sure, you can ask an adult you trust, like one of your teachers or parents or whoever looks after you. They will be able to give you some help.
Have a great birthday on (Redacted)Trey Maturin 18:26, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
information Administrator note:
Yes, happy BDay, Ian. But listen, it's very important that you don't give away any identifying personal information, anywhere really on the internet, even if it seems trivial. Please see:
I also strongly recommend you point a parent, teacher or legal guardian to this post. Because it would be good if they, for their part, were to review:
Thanks, and again, happy BDay! El_C 19:09, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
