By whom?, indeed. This remark strikes me as ridiculous since the original purpose of those units was to operate as a freight train, consisting of one or multiple units. I've added some information[1] about the use of DR98008 as a Signals and Crossings video train in the Manchester area, gleaned and cited from the Derivations in Force list. Since that's about all the information I can find, that is all that I can really add. What these actually do...[edit]

It'd be nice if the article went into any detail at all about what these actually do, besides the wiring trains. That is, the presumably standard sandite/water jet/weedkilling/deicing modules that they usually carry?
