New article[edit]

I have read the Wikipedia advice on lists and bibliographies and studied similar bibliographies; my understanding is that this article is notable because the subject, History of Wales, is notable. I am not sure whether any notes attached to the entries need to be sourced. Comments welcome; please discuss here. Many thanks. Tony Holkham (Talk) 21:38, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Encyclopaedia of Wales[edit]

Dear Tony,
This is just to submit, for your consideration, the idea of including the following book as an entry in your list; it's not a history book per se so you might not consider it suitable, although it obviously has a lot of content about the history of Wales:

  • Davies, John; Jenkins, Nigel; Baines, Menna; Lynch, Peredur I., eds. (2008). The Welsh Academy Encyclopaedia of Wales (1st ed.). Cardiff: University of Wales Press. ISBN 978-0-7083-1953-6.

With kind regards;

An excellent idea, Patrick, thank you. When (if) it comes out in paperback, it would be well worth considering buying it. Cheers, T. Tony Holkham (Talk) 15:29, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Tony,
The copyright page in the hardback edition mentions a paperback edition (ISBN number: 978-0-7083-2154-6), although it seems it was never published.
With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 08:53, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

History of Wales[edit]

Since it's just a reprint, I can't help questioning whether this should be listed as a 21st century source as well as a 19th century source:

Williams (Ysgafell), Jane (2010). A History of Wales: Derived from Authentic Sources. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. ISBN 9781108020855. - Reprint of Jane Williams's book of 1869

Thanks, Deb, that makes sense. T. Tony Holkham (Talk) 13:06, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
