Requested move?[edit]

Why the dab? Barony redirects here in any case. --Mais oui! (talk) 11:39, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested merge[edit]

The text currently in this article mostly relates to feudal baronies or baronies by tenure, which I would suggest should be merged into English Feudal Baronies. There is however still a need for this article with the simple title "Barony", which can separate out feudal baronies from baronies by writ and modern titles of "baron", with a general discussion of the topic. 21st century?[edit]

The reference on "although the legal force of the Scottish feudal baron was abolished early in the 21st c." was written in 1996. How can it document events in the "early 21st century" Tjwagner (talk) 16:06, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

France[edit]

There are/used to be baronies in France (see the French article) which is the source for the title in the UK. And of course countries like Denmark (lens)baron and Sweden also used the baron title. This article is too UK-centric. — Preceding unsigned comment added by D-b (talkcontribs) 11:08, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
