Riders[edit]

Perhaps this should be in alphabetical order ? and the winners in table format. Quite a bit of work and I've never used boxes before. John 16:55, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rewritten[edit]

I have rewritten the article-let me know if you want to talk about it. dottydotdot (talk) 10:32, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

horses deaths and injuries[edit]

The references to horses deaths and injuries have been removed, I'm not sure why this has been done as it is a notable part of this event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nayyn (talkcontribs) 00:03, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Nayyn: The information was not removed. It is still there. Look again. Or click here.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 02:52, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
a number of cited references to horse injuries and falls have been removed from this article by non-neutral persons. Horse falls are a serious event that lead to the disqualification of the pairing. It is not a "regular" part of the event. Its documentation is warranted to showcase the course difficulty and its success rate. Nayyn (talk) 17:53, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Nayyn: You don't show danger/risks simply by "listing" incidents, instead you need to add context in which the general risks are described—which is what I did when I added a preamble to "Dangers" (renamed from "Casualties and incidents"). I then divided rider and horse injuries into two separate sections. I added a third section for "Falls", in which I re-added the recently removed 2 falls and added a third.
Because of the Wikipedia policies of Assume good faith and No personal attacks, it is not a good practice to call an editor a "non-neutral person", especially without any evidence to back up that claim. I am neither an advocate nor a critic of eventing or Badminton Horse Trials. More experienced editors may always come along and change articles to better suit Wikipedia's guidelines, and just because you don't like their changes doesn't make them non-neutral. Next time you don't like my edits, try asking me 'why' rather than posting as a complaint.   ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 19:56, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
