Squads[edit]

Are we adding squads to this article? Denmark announced it's squad a while ago, at the end of this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moedk (talkcontribs) 05:01, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Twenty20 Europe Qualifier - Regional Finals[edit]

It's going to be on Guernsey in June, but haven't found a source to link to. --Moedk (talk) 03:41, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Should we accept the errors of others or should we correct them.[edit]

The results shown here are inconsistent with the points table, and sometimes the results are inconsistent with the table. Let's look at Group A. Two results in the group at the moment cause this inconsistency - one of each type. First is Austria v France, where according to Cricket Europe (https://www.cricketeurope.com/JERSEY/2018/EURODIV1/index.shtml) Austria took 11.5 overs to win - not 11.1. Change that and the NRR for these two teams equals that in the table at the ICC source and on the Cricket Europe Table. Second is a more worrying error - Cyprus lost big to Denmark, and were dismissed in 18.3 overs. But according to the rules that should count as 20 overs. Yet the table will match that at the ICC page if we also make this error.

Similarly, after fixing all the minor errors, the table for Group B matches the results if you accidently say Spain only took 12.4 overs (rather than 13.4) to defeat Isle of Man. And Group C's results "match" the table if you incorrectly allocate the Czechs 15.5 overs for their loss against Guernsey - they were dismissed after 15.5 overs, but should be charged with 20 as they were all out.

So, should we just publish erroneous data or should we fix their mistakes?42.62.207.8 (talk) 10:53, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rakbir Hasan[edit]

CricInfo got Rakbir Hasan as representing Italy. As an example he stood in 1st Match, ICC World Twenty20 Europe Region Qualifier C at Rotterdam, Aug 29 2018 - Gibraltar-Guernsey, any reference he's from/representing England or is that just assumed? (forgot to sign it yesterday) --Moedk (talk) 20:39, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - updated to reflect CI. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:22, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Washout day[edit]

Hi. I've been bold and put the washed out games as no result/abandoned from today (18th June), and setup new match report boxes for the rescheduled fixtures (20th). A similar thing happened in the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Four last May. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:07, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It makes sense at least for the ones were a ball had been played as they count in the stats. It also looks like matches with a toss, count as a match participated in for the player. I don't think matches with no toss count anywhere so they should probably just be moved, like the first scheduled Norway-Denmark match should have been T20I no. 794, that number then went to the Italy-Germany match the day after instead.--Moedk (talk) 23:02, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yep once all is confirmed the two matches that had no toss should be removed and a footnote perhaps added to the rescheduled match. The two that started (including the one that only had the toss) should probably remain as is because they should count for stats (but not affecting the table). Sadly looks like games will be washed out again today. Very heavy rain in the area. Schedule for tomorrow will be interesting. Bs1jac (talk) 09:20, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think the rain has gotten into the Cricinfo servers. They're having a mare! Great work in getting the info updated here. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:00, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes the usual 'get info from elsewhere then check against CI later' approach!Bs1jac (talk) 12:53, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Player of the match[edit]

Regardless what CricInfo says, Nicolaj Damgaard was awarded Player of the match by ICC in Mondays match Norway-Denmark. --Moedk (talk) 23:08, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We need to use the cited source (CI). You could alternatively make the change and add a reference. Bs1jac (talk) 09:19, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
