Confusion with Region names[edit]

Asturkian, in Spain provinces have unique name, in Ukraine its regions are called after the regional centers and do not have unique name aside from Volyn Oblast, Zakarpattia Oblast, and Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Those are three out of 27 regions in Ukraine. In Spain Asturias is not named after Oviedo and no one calls Asturias the Oviedo Autonomous Community because it does not make sense. Those are the differences between two countries. If you have problem with the use of oblast because it is a strange word, we can replace it with region, it is just the regional flag template will not work. Asturkian, also, Kiev Oblast and Kiev City (or simply Kiev) are two different regions. After you removed oblast, the article was showing that Kiev played against Kiev in 2018 FFU Regions' Cup. I tried to create an article Regions of Ukraine, but some yahoo decided to merge it with Administrative division of Ukraine. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 00:22, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
