Radios[edit]

In Spain, Cadena Ser not only broadcast the World Cup. Moreover, Radio Marca is the only one that emits 64 matches. Cadena Ser broadcast a few, like other radios as Onda Cero and other generalists. Please, changes this. Thanks --Paucazorla (talk) 00:19, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

High definition availability[edit]

Shoulds we perhaps add a column in the table to indicate confirmed full/partial HD coverage for the channels? chandler 13:32, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good idea, but how about simply adding it into the list (as I've done for the US, UK and Germany) instead of making another column? Xenon54 / talk / 21:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Definition of "free-to-air"?[edit]

What is the definition of "free-to-air" in this context? I just noticed that my change of TV2 (Norway) to "Satellite (pay)" has been changed back to "free-to-air", even though the channel isn't available for free on any platform anymore. The channel was free-to-air until 31 December 2009, when analog terrestrial television was shut off in Norway. The channel requires subscription both on satellite and digital terrestrial television. As far as I know, TV2 is included in every basic cable package (both analog and digital), but nobody offers basic cable for free. I've noticed that "free-to-air" simply links to Terrestrial television. Does that imply that "free" in this context does not mean free as in beer, and that it's OK to flag TV2 (Norway) as "Free-to-air (pay)"? TrondM (talk) 18:18, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Free-to-air, as I defined it when I revamped this list, was "available for free on an unencrypted terrestrial or satellite platform." In other words, it's really a simplification of "Terrestrial (free)". No one has challenged that meaning since then, but of course this definition can change if it's determined that the definition is too broad. I would personally label TV2 as "Terrestrial/satellite (pay)". Perhaps "Free-to-air" should be changed to "Terrestrial (free)" to alleviate confusion... 3-D[edit]

Are Jazeera and ESPN the only stations that are showing the 3-D programmes? I heard they were gonna show some games—maybe just the final?—in 3-D at Mexico City movie theatres, who’s doing that? —Wiki Wikardo 02:46, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well done[edit]

To whoever locked this article. Just to point out that ITV1 is also broadcast in Scotland, so the Scottish flag should be next to ITV1 as well as the Welsh and English ones. 91.85.181.14 (talk) 14:50, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it has to be pointed out that the World Cup is broadcasted in the Internet on the sport.tvp.pl website in Poland (TVP Sport). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.99.0.49 (talk) 12:48, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Internet broadcasting: include audio-only broadcasts? (radio)[edit]

Should the internet broadcasting section include audio-only streams as well as video+audio broadcasts? At least some of the official radio broadcasters have a live internet audio stream as well. Is there a proper way to include this information? 98.240.162.246 (talk) 18:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from Maserv, 21 June 2010[edit]

{{editsemiprotected}} Broadcasting Rights for Italy are: RAI 25 matches (1 game per day plus both semifinals and finals) Sky: all matches

The same apply for Vatican. Rai and Sky have the rights in the same way as for Italy
