Untitled[edit]

Whilst the title of this Regiment is given as listed in the 'Leicester Daily Mercury' of (16 June 1939), I've not been able to find any references to a 'change' to 115 Field Regiment (North Midlands) RA in any of the War Diaries in 1942 at the National Archives. From an early date, the Regiment is referred to as 115 Field Regiment (North Midlands) RA. I do not know where Litchfield got his source from, and I believe he is wrong.

The position of the action involving a section of 240 Battery listed in the narrative, I believe should be worded as 'at the bridge across the River Lys in the centre of Merville'

(See Part One of my 'History of 115 Field Regiment', available from me, or it can be viewed in the Leicestershire Record Office or Imperial War Museum)

Regards.
