The Tobol Tatars or Tobol-Irtysh Tatars are one of the major subgroups of the Siberian Tatars, living along the Irtysh, Tobol, Iset, Tura, Pyshma, Tavda, Noska, and Layma rivers in Tyumen and Omsk Oblasts.^[1]^[2] Local sub-groups include the Aremzian-Nadtsi, Isker-Tobolsk, Babasan, and Ishtyak-Tokuz.
