Chronology
PredecessorFujifilm X-T30 II

Fujifilm X-T50 is a mid-range mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera announced as an addition to Fujifilm X series' X-T line by Fujifilm on May 16, 2024. [1][2]

It is Fujifilm's first ever camera with a dedicated Film Simulation dial to provide direct access to Fujifilm’s popular Film Simulations. [3]

Improvements over its predecessor (X-T30 ii)[edit]

  • Sensor and Processor Upgrade: It features the same 40.2MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5 image processor found in the high-end X-T5 model. This translates to superior image quality, faster performance, and better low-light capabilities.
  • In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS): A significant addition is the in-body image stabilization (IBIS), a first for the X-T10 series. This enables sharper handheld shots at slower shutter speeds and is ideal for low-light photography or capturing fast-moving subjects.
  • Dedicated Film Simulation Dial: The X-T50 has a first-of-its-kind dedicated Film Simulation dial. This provides instant access to Fujifilm's film emulation modes, making it easier and faster for users to experiment with different creative looks for their photos.
