  • Just wanted to drop a note here: this category is currently being used inappropriately for articles about places. It must be used for articles about persecution i.e. events only. To draw some parallels: Dresden and London are not in the category "World War II" despite their population being subjected to allied bombings and the Blitz respectively. Dresden and Hiroshima do have event-related categories, but these are very sensible and place-specific: Category:Holocaust locations in Germany and Category:World War II sites in Japan respectively. Similarly, despite the extermination of the Muslim and Jewish population in Tripoli, Greece, this article is not in the categories for the persecution of either group. I will thus be reverting the recent serial addition of these categories to place articles. I am of course open to any discussion per WP:BRD. --GGT (talk) 00:19, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
