Not the same as Venice[edit]
The Republic of Venice at various times had large amounts of subject territory, including various parys of modern Greece and Albania, as well as areas in Italy beyong Venive's borders. It also ended around 1800. So in time it is much more limitex than Venice, and in area more broad. The merger makes no sense.John Pack Lambert (talk) 05:38, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
