Magister Equitums is grammatically incorrect[edit]

Since I don't have administrative privileges and can't change a category name, I spent two weeks trying to get this grammatical error corrected — in vain. The plural of magister equitum is magistri equitum. To form the plural as magistri equitums is as illiterate as forming the plural of "the right of women" as "the right of womens." It disappoints me that the Wikipedia apparatus has become so cumbersome that a grammatical error can't be corrected. The category should be renamed "Category:Masters of the Horse in ancient Rome." Preceding discussion relates to category under prior title[edit]

Per CFD, this category was renamed from Category:Roman magistri equitum. postdlf (talk) 18:59, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A small correction. This category was in fact renamed from the barbaric Category:Roman Magister Equitums. (Category:Roman magistri equitum was an alternative preferred by some of us.) Wareh (talk) 19:12, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
