Portuguese Posessions[edit]

Portuguese posessions should not be on this map, Portugal wasn't anexed by Spain during the dinastic Union, they always remained different countries albeit with the same King. Should I add the Spanish Empire to the Portuguese Empire map then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by FernãoMendesPinto (talkcontribs) 18:50, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But the same can be said about Castile, Aragon, and the Two Scilies. All were different kingdoms ruled by viceroys under the king of Spain. Spain only became used as a political term when Portugal fell under the Philip II's domains.128.227.40.52 (talk) 21:21, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
