Errors[edit]

Image states that "areas marked with green color:Romanian minority (under 50%)". Uploader: Romanians were never minorities (never lived) on those territories, however you try to give us the feeling that they did. (Examples: Croatia, Burgenland, Dunantul, Slovakia.--ЛенинВладимир (talk) 10:12, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On the contrary, I tried to show where Romanians were a majority on a map of Hungary in 1890 and where they were not.
Not being a majority means beeing between 0-50% of the population, which is true for the green area of the map.
In some places of Transylvania they were 1-10%, 10-20%, 20-30%, 30-40% and 40-50% but like you mentioned in Croatia, Burgeland, Central Hungary, Slovakia, they accounted for virtualy 0% of the population.
Perhaps I could change the labels to "Romanin majority", "Romanian minority or absent" to make it clearer!

Furthermore, the names of the cities on the map you have created do not fit to wikipedi guidlines (mention cities under their official names) Examples: Timisoara should be changed to Temesvar, Oradea to Nagyvarad.--ЛенинВладимир (talk) 10:28, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, what is the purpose of the broken line on the map?--ЛенинВладимир (talk) 10:50, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The broken lines represent some of the modern borders (after the Treaty of Trianon). This way the viewer could see how the historic Romanian populations in Hungary in 1890 are in relation to the modern Romanian-Hungarian border for instance.
If you noticed, not only the Romanian cities are written under their modern name, but every non-Hungarian city. The reason for that is that they are best know under their modern name rather than historic Hungarian name. Take a look at this map which does the same.

If the broken lines represent the modern borders why it is not mentioned? You know this but what about the other users/readers? Yes I noticed (like Poszony). The guideline is WP:NCGN and not User:Andrei nacu's homemade map. Take a look at this map, which adopts the rule. Please fix the errors so i dont have to request the maps deletion. Thank you. ps: Do you think it is a good method to visualize areas with diferent ethnic distribution under the same colors? (1-50% light blue and 50-100% dark blue) Professional cartographers never use this method. --ЛенинВладимир (talk) 18:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the suggestions! I made the necessary changes and uploaded a new map.
Let me know if there are any other issues!

Colours[edit]

Can anyone lighten or darken either of the "Romanian minority" or "negligible Romanian population" colours? That will make it possible for colour blind viewers to distinguish them. I cannot tell them apart. Király-Seth (talk) 15:34, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
