Summary[edit]

These twin fire control towers on Swallow Cave Rd. in Nahant, MA, were built at the beginning of WW2 to direct guns in Boston's harbor defenses. Each tower is about 65 feet tall and provided space for three observation levels, most of which were base end stations. The top levels of both towers had observational heights of over 108 feet. Photo looks westerly from Nahant's Battery 206 and was taken in 2010.
