Object history
Deutsch: Schwarz und Silber sind die Wappenfarben der ehemaligen Reichsstadt Ulm, wie auch des Deutschen Ordens. Im Schild des Wappens von Setzingen sollen sie daran erinnern, dass die Gemeinde 1383 an Ulm verkauft worden ist und dass der Deutsche Orden 1454 etwa die Hälfte der Grundherrschaft erworben hat. Die Kornähre weist darauf hin, dass Setzingen zu den stärker landwirtschaftlich orientierten Gemeinden zählt. Der Ministerrat Württemberg-Baden hat das Wappen am 14. Juli 1948 verliehen. Die Verleihung der Flagge durch das Landratsamt erfolgte am 15. Januar 1982.
