Deutsch: „Das Wappen zeigt auf silbernem (weißem) Feld drei grüne Hainbuchen, die aus grünem Feld hervorwachsen, auf dem ein silbernes (weißes) mit goldenem (gelbem) Knauf versehenes Schwert liegt.“ Der Gemeinde Nordwalde ist mit Urkunde des Oberpräsidenten der Provinz Westfalen vom 05. Oktober 1935 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. Das Wappen spiegelt die frühere Gerichtsgewalt der Gemeinde, welche sich in Form der drei Hainbuchen (Gerichtsbäume) nebst Richtschwert darstellt, wider. Die Symbolik des Wappens ist am Wappen des Nordwalder Schulzen (Statthalter des Bischofs von Münster mit Sitz auf dem Bispiunghof.) angelehnt. Die Buchen sind gleichzeitig "redend" und stehen für "-walde".
English: „Argent, growing out of a raised terrace vert, on it a lying sword Argent with a knob Or, three beeches vert.“ The arms were granted on October 5, 1935. The village developed around two estates, the Bispinghof and the Pröpstinghof, both of which were a possession of the Cathedral Chapter of Münster. The arms of the Bispinghof estate showed a sword in a green field, which were in the municipal arms placed under three trees, which are a canting symbol (Wald=forest).
