Object history
Deutsch: Das Innenministerium hat der Gemeinde am 15. Februar 1957 auf deren Antrag das Wappen des Gmünder Bürgergeschlechts der Ruhen (auch Rüchen oder Ruggen), das sich seit der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts nach Mögglingen genannt hatte, und die Flagge verliehen. Da das ursprüngliche Familienwappen nur in Siegelabdrücken auf uns gekommen ist, wurden die Farben des Gemeindewappens frei gewählt. Die im Wappenwesen noch oft verwendete Bezeichnung „Bracke" bedeutet einen Jagdhund.
