Object history
Deutsch: Das Ortsadelsgeschlecht der Herren von Griesingen führte einen von Rot und Silber geteilten Schrägbalken in seinem schwarzen Wappenschild. Im Wappen der Gemeinde Griesingen erinnert der entsprechend geteilte Schrägbalken an diese Familie, während der blaue Schildgrund und die drei goldenen Kugeln vom Wappen der Freiherren von Freyberg abgeleitet sind, die den Ort von 1503 bis 1809 besessen haben. Das Innenministerium hat das Wappen und die Flagge am 28. März 1961 verliehen.
