Object history
Deutsch: Die heutige Ortsgemeinde Brachbach stand lange Zeit unter der Herrschaft derer von Freusburg. Dies wird symbolisiert durch die 3 Eberköpfe im Wappenschild. Das heutige Dekant Kirchen (Sieg) - zu dem auch Brachbach gehört - ist noch immer Teil des Bistums Trier und als "Trierische Insel" bekannt, dargestellt links durch das rote Kreuz auf silbernem Grund des Erzstiftes Trier. In der eingeschweiften Spitze steht auf grünem Grund in Gold das "Stollenmundloch" des "Wernsberger Erbstollens" (ca. 300 Jahre alt) mit aufstehender Fichte auf schwarzem Fuß, heute Wahrzeichen des Ortes Brachbach an der Sieg.
