Summary

Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Grumman A-6E Intruder aircraft patrol the skies over the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch in on 26 Sep 1996. Both aircraft were the respective aircraft of the "Commander Air Group" (CAG) of two different Carrier Air Wings (CVW). The A-6E flying nearer to the camera (BuNo 164382) was assigned to the Sunday Punchers of Attack Squadron VA-75 and the "CAG-bird" of CVW-17 aboard the carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The other A-6E (BuNo 159579) was assigned to the Main Battery, Attack Squadron VA-196, CVW-14, deployed aboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70).
